GA4 setup and Google Tag Manager
Google Analytics setup services for forms, calls and WhatsApp
DevoraTech offers Google Analytics setup services to businesses whose website brings requests by form, phone or WhatsApp, and that want to know which pages and campaigns bring them. We set up GA4 and Google Tag Manager (GTM) in your own accounts, mark each kind of request as a key event, send the right ones to Google Ads as conversions, and connect a cookie banner to Consent Mode so your tags follow each visitor's choice. Then, if you wish, we read the numbers with you each month, in plain words.

Measurement supports our SEO work and every site we build: a page that ranks helps you most when you can see the requests it brings. We work from Tangier, Morocco, with clients worldwide, in English and French, and we follow the consent rules of the countries your visitors come from, such as the CNIL's guidance in France and law 09-08 in Morocco.
Part ofSearch engine optimization

- Forms, calls and WhatsApp clicks
- Consent before tracking
For whom
Who it is for
A business that receives requests by form, phone or WhatsApp and cannot tell which channel brings them
A company running Google Ads that wants its campaigns to learn from real requests
A site whose GA4 or Tag Manager was set up by someone who has since left
A business with visitors in France or elsewhere in Europe that needs a banner in line with the GDPR and the CNIL's guidance
An online store that wants each purchase measured from the product page to the payment
What we fix
Why your conversion tracking cannot be trusted
Requests are counted twice, or not at all
A tag that fires when the button is clicked counts attempts, including forms sent back with an error. Tag Manager's form trigger has a setting that fires only when the form is sent successfully. GA4's automatic form event counts every form on the site, so Google advises a separate event for the form that matters to you.
Calls and WhatsApp clicks go unseen
A visitor taps your number or your WhatsApp button, and the conversation happens elsewhere. GA4 records clicks on links that lead to another website, but nothing turns them into requests until someone sets it up. A click trigger in Tag Manager can watch the links that contain wa.me or tel:, and each one becomes a key event.
Google Ads learns from the wrong action
When a page view or a scroll counts as a conversion, your campaigns look for people who browse. Google describes a conversion as the important action you use to measure campaign performance and to optimize bidding, so only real requests belong there.
Tags run before the visitor says yes
In France, the CNIL holds that a visitor who keeps browsing without choosing has refused, and that refusing must be as easy as accepting. Google requires consent from users in the European Economic Area, shared with its tags, for ads measurement and personalization. A cookie consent banner that loads every tag on arrival fails both.
The accounts belong to someone else
A former agency or freelancer often owns the GA4 property or the Tag Manager container. When they leave, the access and the history can leave with them.
Nobody reads the reports
GA4 offers many reports and explorations. Without a short list of the numbers that matter to your business, it stays closed.
What you get
What our Google Analytics setup services include
Measurement plan
A written list of what to count and why: each kind of request, its key event, what triggers it, and whether it goes to Google Ads. You approve it before anything is set up.
GA4 setup
A GA4 property and web data stream in your Google account, enhanced measurement checked, your own visits filtered out, data retention set to 14 months, the longest option for a standard property, and the link to Google Search Console.
Google Tag Manager setup
A container in your account with clearly named tags, triggers and variables. Each change is tested in preview mode with Tag Assistant, then published as a version with a note, so you can see what changed and when.
A key event for each kind of request
Form sent, click on your phone number, click on a WhatsApp link, click on your email address and, for a store, the purchase. Each one is marked as a key event in GA4, where a standard property allows up to 30.
Google Ads conversion tracking
GA4 linked to Google Ads, and the key events that matter imported as conversions, or the Google Ads conversion tag where it fits better. Google Ads can also count calls from ads, calls to a Google forwarding number shown on your site, and taps on your number on mobile. Enhanced conversions, which send hashed customer data to Google, are added when you choose them and your privacy policy says so. The campaigns themselves are the job of our Google Ads management.
Cookie banner and Consent Mode
A banner with "Accept all" and "Reject all" side by side, settings by purpose, and the visitor's choice stored. Your tags receive the four consent signals of Google's Consent Mode: ad_storage, analytics_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization. By default we use the basic mode, where Google tags wait until the visitor has chosen; the advanced mode, which sends measurements without cookies while consent is denied, is a choice we make with you.
Handover and monthly reading
A document that lists every tag, trigger and key event, the accounts in your name with our access as users you can remove, and, if you wish, a monthly reading: requests by channel and by page, in a short written summary.
Platforms
The tools we set up, and what each one does
Each tool has one job in your setup, and they are linked so the numbers agree.
Google Analytics 4
Counts visits, events and key events across your pages. Data can take up to 30 minutes to start arriving after setup, and a new key event up to 24 hours to appear in standard reports.
Google Tag Manager
Holds your tags in one container, so tags are added or changed without editing your site's code. Every publish is kept as a version, with who published it and when.
Google Ads
Receives the conversions its bidding learns from, imported from GA4 or sent by its own tag.
Google Search Console
Shows the searches that bring visitors to each page. Linked to GA4, the two can be read side by side.
The consent banner
Records each visitor's choice and passes it to your tags. Google runs a partner programme for consent management platforms, and a banner built into your site can send the same signals.
Process
How the setup runs
1. Call and access
What counts as a request for you, your contact channels, your campaigns, and who holds the accounts today.
2. Measurement plan and quote
The written plan, the banner, the tools, and what each side provides.
3. Setup in preview
GA4, the container, triggers and banner prepared without publishing anything.
4. Tests
We send a test form, tap the phone and WhatsApp links, accept and refuse the banner, and check each event in Tag Assistant and the Realtime report.
5. Publish and compare
The container goes live as a version. A few days later, we compare the key events with the requests you actually received.
6. Handover
The document, the accounts and a short session on the reports, then the monthly reading if you chose it.

Questions
Google Analytics setup services: your questions
How much do Google Analytics setup services cost?
It depends on the number of requests to track, the tools to connect, whether you run a store or Google Ads, and the countries your visitors come from. After a first call, the measurement plan shows the work, and the written quote follows from it. Request a quote: it costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
Do I need Google Tag Manager, or is the GA4 tag enough?
For a simple site, the Google tag alone can send page views and events. Tag Manager helps once you have several tags, consent rules and Google Ads conversions: changes are made in one place, tested in preview and kept as versions. The measurement plan says which one fits your site.
Can you track WhatsApp clicks and phone calls?
Yes, as clicks: each tap on a WhatsApp link or on your number becomes a key event. The conversation itself happens in WhatsApp or on the phone, so GA4 sees the click and nothing after it. For calls that come from Google Ads, Google's call conversions can count calls made to a forwarding number shown on your site.
Do I need a cookie banner?
If some of your visitors are in France or elsewhere in the European Economic Area, yes for analytics and advertising cookies. The CNIL asks for consent before them, except for audience measurement that meets its exemption conditions, and Google requires consent signals for those visitors. In Morocco, the CNDP states that a site using cookies that rely on personal data must collect consent before placing them. We set the banner for the countries your visitors come from.
Who owns the accounts and the data?
You do. GA4, Tag Manager and Google Ads are opened in your business's Google account, and we work with user access that you can remove at any time. Tag Manager keeps a history of who published each version, so every change stays traceable.
Can you fix a setup someone else made?
Yes. We start with an audit of the existing property and container: duplicate tags, events that count the wrong action, conversions sent twice, tags that run before consent. The measurement plan then proposes fixes or a clean rebuild, and keeps your history wherever it can be kept.
