Laravel development company for applications and APIs

DevoraTech is a Laravel development company in Tangier, Morocco, working with businesses worldwide. Laravel is an open-source PHP framework for building web applications and APIs. It comes with tools for routing, database access, queues, authentication, email and scheduled tasks, so most of the work goes into the rules of your business. Our custom web development company page covers WordPress and the other platforms we build on. Companies and product teams can also hire a Laravel developer from us for a defined piece of work.

Part ofWebsite development

  • Laravel and PHP
  • Written scope before any code
  • Code in a repository in your name

For whom

Who it is for

  • A business whose orders or bookings live in spreadsheets and email

  • A company that needs a client portal, a booking system or an internal tool

  • A founder or a mobile team that needs the server and the API behind an app

  • A company or a product team that wants to hire a Laravel developer for a feature or an existing application

What we build

What we build with Laravel

  1. Laravel client areas

Each client signs in to see their own orders, files, invoices or project status.

  2. Booking and quote systems

Availability, prices from your own rules, online payment and email confirmations.

  3. Back-office tools in Laravel

The forms, lists and dashboards your team uses every day, on one database.

  4. Admin panels

Screens where your staff manage users, orders and settings, each person with the rights of their role.

  5. Laravel APIs for sites and apps

The accounts, data and notifications a mobile app or another site reads, and links to your payment tools. Our mobile app development company page covers the app itself.

What we build

Hire a Laravel developer through our agency

  1. A named contact

One person who knows your project and answers you in English or French.

  2. A written scope

What we build, what you provide and the schedule, approved by you before work starts.

  3. Your repository

The code in a Git repository in your name, or in your own repository and tools when you ask.

  4. A way of working

One project at a fixed price, or a developer on your product for an agreed share of each month, at a monthly rate, with one month of notice to stop. Longer arrangements follow our outsourced web development model.

What we fix

What a Laravel application fixes

  1. Your work runs on spreadsheets and email

Requests arrive by email, and someone copies them into a spreadsheet, then into another tool. Mistakes creep in. A web application keeps the data in one database, with forms that check each entry.

  2. No ready-made tool follows your rules

Your prices depend on several factors, or requests go through approval steps that no plugin or subscription tool follows. In Laravel we write those rules in code and test them.

  3. Clients ask for answers you could show them

Clients write to ask where their order, file or payment stands. A client portal lets each one sign in and see it at any hour.

  4. Your WordPress site has outgrown its plugins

Bookings, member areas and price calculations stacked on plugins become slow and fragile. We move that logic into a Laravel application and keep WordPress for the pages your team edits.

What you get

What our Laravel development services include

Request a quote
  1. Written scope

Users and roles, screens, rules and connections, written down and approved by you before any code, with the quote and the schedule.

  2. Data model

The tables, their links and who may see or change each record, checked with you. Laravel migrations keep the database structure in the code, so every copy of the application starts the same.

  3. Build

The application in Laravel and PHP: forms with validation, accounts and roles, queues for emails and long tasks, scheduled tasks and the API your other tools call.

  4. Tests

Automated tests for the parts your business depends on, such as sign-in, payments and price calculations, written with the application and run before each release. Each feature is also checked by hand on a test address.

  5. Deployment

A server or cloud host opened in your name, deployment from the Git repository, queue workers and scheduled tasks running, and secret keys kept out of the code.

  6. Handover

The code, the server and the service accounts in your name, a session for your team on the admin screens, and technical documentation for the next developer, covering installation, deployment and the data model.

  7. Maintenance

Updates of Laravel, PHP and the packages, security and bug fixes, and new features, agreed in writing. Our website maintenance services page lists what a plan covers.

Platforms

When Laravel fits, and when WordPress or Shopify fits better

We choose the platform with you before the quote. When WordPress, Shopify or a ready-made tool does the job for less, we say so in the written scope.

  1. Laravel fits

Rules of your own, users with different roles, data across many tables, several systems to connect, or an API for a mobile app.

  2. WordPress fits better

A site made mostly of pages and news that your team edits. Our WordPress development agency page covers that work.

  3. Shopify fits better

An online store with a catalogue, a cart and payments, and no server to look after. Our Shopify development company page explains that option.

  4. Laravel beside WordPress

Your public site stays on WordPress, and the client portal or the booking system runs in Laravel on a subdomain, in the same design.

  5. A ready-made tool fits better

When a subscription product already does what you need, it usually costs less than a custom build. We tell you so in the first call.

Process

How a Laravel project runs

We build Laravel applications for clients worldwide by video call, email and WhatsApp, talking with you in English or French, and you approve the data model and each stage on a test address before anything goes live. Tangier is on GMT all year: the same time as London in winter, one hour behind Paris and Madrid in winter and two hours behind in summer. Your accepted quote is our agreement, and a short contract or an NDA is added when you ask, signed by email.

  1. 1. Call and brief

How your business works today, who will use the application and which tools it must connect to. Bring your spreadsheets and forms.

  2. 2. Written scope and quote

Users, roles, screens, rules and connections, with the schedule and what each side provides.

  3. 3. Data model and screens

The data model and the main screens, approved by you before the build.

  4. 4. Build in stages

Feature by feature on a test address. You try each stage with real cases and send your comments.

  5. 5. Launch

Tests run, existing data imported when the scope includes it, the server set up in your name, then the application goes live.

  6. 6. Handover and support

A session for your team, the code and accounts in your name, then the maintenance we agreed on.

Questions

Laravel development: your questions

How much does a Laravel application cost?

It depends on the screens and user roles, the rules to write, the connections to other systems and the data to import. Request a quote and you receive a written quote that lists each part, with recurring costs such as hosting and paid services listed separately. When you compare Laravel development companies, compare what each scope includes.

How long does it take to build a Laravel application?

It depends on the features and on how quickly decisions come. You receive a schedule with the written scope, before work starts. We build in stages, so a first version with the core features can go live before the rest is finished.

Who owns the code?

You do. The code is kept in a Git repository in your name, and the server, the domain name and paid services such as email sending or payments are opened in your name too. Laravel is open source under the MIT licence, so the framework itself has no licence fee.

Where is a Laravel application hosted?

On any server or cloud host that runs PHP and a database such as MySQL or PostgreSQL. Queue workers and scheduled tasks need more control than basic shared hosting often gives, so we usually recommend a virtual server or a managed PHP platform, opened in your name. After launch, we look after the server too, with its updates, backups and monitoring, inside a maintenance plan or as a one-off job.

Can you take over an existing Laravel application?

Yes, after a first review of the code. We install the code on a test server, check the versions, the tests and the security settings, and list what needs work. Then we propose fixes, updates or a partial rebuild, in writing.

How do you keep a Laravel application secure and up to date?

Laravel comes with protection against common attacks: hashed passwords, form tokens against forged requests, safe database queries and escaped output. We add roles that limit each person to what they need and keep secret keys out of the code. Laravel and its packages get regular fixes; under a maintenance plan we apply them on a test copy, run the tests, then deploy.
